Theirs alot of myths out there about fixing water damaged phones and unfortunately the biggest one is that putting it in a bag of rice is somehow going to fix it. This couldn't be further from the truth.
Fixing a water damaged phone is largely dependent on what the owner of the device does after the water damage incident and putting it in rice will lessen the chances of recovering your data. It's not the water that does the most damage to the phone, it's the corrosion that does the most damage to the phone's motherboard and rice is heavily corrosive.
Instead if your phone is ever liquid damaged and starts showing bad signs (ghost touching, unresponsive touch, acting "weird"), the best course of action is to just leave it alone and give it to a professional technician ASAP. If the battery is removable than take it out immediately.
At Sams's Cell Repair Service we have years worth of experience in recovering data off liquid damaged phones successfully and we will do everything we can to save the data on your phone in case of liquid damage. Please call, text or email us to schedule an appointment.
Wow, I'm probably not going to make a lot of friends with certain specific vendors after writing this blog but I believe the truth needs to come out. Which is that liquid glass screen protection is USELESS.
At Sam's Cell Repair Service we've repaired countless phones, many of witch have had liquid glass protection on them and they didn't do a thing to protect the phone. There is currently no public hard evidence that liquid screen protection offers any kind of protection at all.
Your best protection for your phone is either a screen protector or a otter box. Be forewarned though, if you live in a particularly hot climate than an otter box can make your phone over heat very easily.
Screen protectors on the other hand if installed correctly offer great protection. Sometimes when we arrive to repair a phone when we take the screen protector off to proceed with the repair, it turns out it's just the screen protector that's cracked and not the glass on the phone.
At Sam's Cell Repair Service when ever you get a iPhone X and above screen repair or a Samsung phone screen repair it comes with a free screen protector. :)
